Questions Before You Buy

Will these fit my truck?

This listing is built specifically for the 2005-2011 Toyota Tacoma Desert Vision Fog Lights — not a universal kit trimmed to fit. Every insert is designed for that exact housing, so if your truck and year range match the title, you're covered. Not sure which generation you have? Message us with your year and we'll confirm before you order.

How long until they ship?

In-stock sets ship the next business day. Custom builds are made to order and ship within 2–3 weeks. You'll get tracking as soon as yours goes out.

Can I install these myself?

Yes — most customers do. Every set includes a harness that plugs directly into your OEM wiring, so there's no cutting, splicing, or permanent modification. Plan on an hour or two per side if it's your first time. Step-by-step instructions come with every order.

Are these DOT approved or street legal?

Desert Wolf Retrofits takes no responsibility for whether these lights are DOT approved or road legal. Lighting laws vary by state, province, and country, and they change. It's your responsibility to check the regulations where you drive and to decide whether these are appropriate for your use. By purchasing, you accept that risk.

What's the difference between the shroud options?

The shroud is the face of your headlight — it's the part everyone sees. We offer several, from clean and understated to aggressive. Our Shroud Guide shows each one lit up with rear halos and with front and rear halos, so you can see exactly what you're choosing.

Which projector should I pick?

Light Cannons are pure white output and dead simple. Desert Vision adds an amber diode, giving you white, yellow, or a combo of both — which makes a real difference in dust, fog, and snow. Side-by-side beam shots are on our Projector Guide.

What are switchback and RGB halos?

Switchback halos run white until your turn signal fires, then blink amber and switch back. RGB halos connect to a Bluetooth app so you can set any color you want, with dozens of preset patterns.

Will they fog up or let water in?

We replace the stock rubber boot with a 3D-printed sealing boot made from high-temperature polymer, add extra sealant between the lens and housing, and seal every other opening. A light haze that clears as the lights warm up is normal in any sealed headlight — standing water isn't, and it's covered under warranty.

What if something goes wrong?

Every set carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If the issue is with the lights we sent, you pay nothing — no restocking fee, no repair charge, and no shipping either direction. Full details on our Warranty & Returns page.
